NW Smart 5.0 empowers North West manufacturing SMEs to transform digitally with strong cybersecurity, and safe, responsible AI.
Secure your operations. Strengthen your resilience. Prepare for Industry 5.0.
As manufacturing becomes more connected, cyber risk is no longer just an IT issue. A single incident can disrupt production, delay orders, and impact your entire supply chain.
For many manufacturing SMEs, the challenge is not knowing what the risks are. It’s knowing where to start and what practical steps will make a difference.
This free workshop, part of the NWSmart5.0 programme funded by CyberFocus, is designed to help you understand the cybersecurity risks facing modern manufacturing and how to respond with confidence.
Led by Dr Sadaf Hina from the University of Salford, the session will focus on real-world challenges and practical solutions. You will explore how cyber threats are evolving, including the rise of AI-enabled attacks, and what this means for your business.
More importantly, you will leave with a clearer understanding of how to strengthen resilience across your operations, from people and processes to connected systems and technologies.
What you’ll gain
- A clear view of the cyber risks facing connected manufacturing environments
- Insight into real incidents and what can be learned from them
- Practical steps to improve resilience across your operations
- An introduction to security by design and how to embed it early
- Greater confidence to adopt digital technologies safely
Who should attend
Manufacturing SMEs across the North West who are adopting or considering digital technologies and want to protect their operations, maintain productivity, and avoid costly disruption.
Why attend
Digital transformation brings opportunity, but without the right safeguards it also increases risk. This session will help you move forward securely, so your business can grow without being exposed.
Free to attend. Places are limited.
