Mousumi Zaman
PhD researcher at University of Salford
Mousumi Zaman is a PhD researcher at Salford Business School, University of Salford, and a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Leeds Beckett University and a Master’s degree from the University of Salford.
Prior to commencing her doctoral studies, Mousumi gained valuable industry experience working with BYN, Moody’s Analytics (Zephus ltd), and Capita Ltd., where she developed practical insights into finance and analytical practices. Her research interests lie in sustainability, regulation, and governance, with a particular focus on how institutional and regulatory frameworks influence sustainability outcomes.
She has published her work titled “Does regulatory quality enhance sustainability performance? International evidence” in the Journal of Environmental Management.
