The Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI) is an initiative designed to facilitate knowledge exchange between business in the North West of England and academia. Funded through the nationwide £100 million government Innovation Accelerator, it offers the region’s businesses access to expert knowledge, research and resources to develop new products, processes, technologies, or train staff.

The CDI aims to create a supercluster for digital innovation, expertise and skills development that will assist the region in building resilience and leveraging new opportunities in rapidly changing business environment .

How the CDI can help you

Knowledge Exchange Partnerships and Technical Assists

The Tech Assist service offered via the CDI provides expert support to help businesses turn their innovation ideas into a reality. The service allows you to get dedicated support for your project from a relevant expert for up to three months, allowing you to access new skills, insights and knowledge based on the latest research.

If you would like to join a technical assist partnership, you must first complete a project scoping document – which is then submitted to the CDI Tech panel for review. To start the application process, complete the form below and we will guide you through the next steps:


Online Learning with Know Digital

Know Digital is a free learning platform designed to help improve digital skills development across the North West of England. 

With learning resources focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), immersive technologies and digitalisation, KnowDigital can be used as both a business tool to develop new skills across your workforce and a personal learning platform, perfect for students, job-seekers or those looking to boost their skillset.
